Field Work on a Wheelchair at Narita International Airport Terminal 2

International Arrival Lobby

When you arrive at Narita Airport, you are going to enter Japan from the International Arrival Lobby on the 1st floor. Terminal 2 has an International Arrival Lobby A and International Arrival Lobby B which have respective exits. You can meet those who are waiting for you.

There are the information counters, currency exchanges, bus and rail ticket sales counters, etc. at the arrival lobby.

The restrooms are located at the central area. The red pillar is the sign. I found the doors of the restrooms refurbished into big ones making it easy for wheelchair users.

Transport to Tokyo

都You can go to Tokyo mainly by train or bus. Here is the official website for more information.

You must buy a bus ticket for your destination and get on a bus at the bus stop outside. You might want to be there at least 5 minutes prior to your departure time.

In case you use a train, there are elevators down to the basement where Narita Airport Station is located. There are the elevators near the Central Exit.

International Departure Lobby

When you transfer to a domestic airline or leave Japan, you do your departure procedure at the International Departure Lobby on the 3rd floor. However, multipurpose restrooms on the 3rd floor have not been renovated yet. You might find them unsatisfactory as multipurpose restrooms. Therefore, I would like to recommend you to use the multipurpose restrooms on the 4th floor.

The buses to the airport arrive at the 3rd floor.

Restaurants and Shops

You can enjoy meals and shopping on the 4th floor.

Take the elevator up to the departure lobby on the 3rd floor and transfer to the elevators up to the 4th floor. There are two elevators to transfer which are located behind the escalators. It would be a bit hard to find them as there are no elevator signs. You can find one of them after passing by one of the two escalators, turning around and going forward.

The multipurpose restrooms are located at the central area. They were also refurbished to meet wheelchair users’ needs.

Take the same elevator located by one of the two escalators to go down to the 3rd floor.
