Shibuya Station

Shibuya Station

We think that Shibuya station is the least wheelchair friendly station in Tokyo. Especially, it is quite difficult to walk through by using a wheelchair in the East Area, because the East Area of the station is currently being developed. However, due to the redevelopment project, the numbers of elevator up to the street are gradually increasing.
In the West Area, we can go up to the street from the underground passage by the elevator No.1. If you want to go to the famous "Hachiko Square" and "Shibuya Scramble Crossing" which are in front of the North Exit with no elevator, then you had better use this route. If you are taking the JR line, go to the South Gate which is conecting to the Saikyo Line.
The south of the Route 246 is the South Area of Shibuya station. We recently found two new elevators to the street from the underground passages.
