Ghibli Museum, Mitaka

The Ghibli museum, located in Mitaka, a western Tokyo city, is an animation museum of which the director is Hayao Miyazaki. In addition to special exhibits showcasing work from other studios, the museum has a permanent exhibit room showing the process of works of the Japanese animation studio, Studio Ghibli. The several short films can be seen at the video exhibition room. Visitors need to buy a reserved ticket which specifies the appointed date of the reservation. Tickets can be purchased at Lawson, a convenience store in Japan, and at designated travel agencies overseas.
