International Arrival Lobby

The Narita Airport Terminal 1 is the first terminal which was built among all the buildings of the airport. The structure of the terminal consists of three parts where the Central Building is located between the South Wing and the North Wing. The South Wing was later constructed and it is the largest terminal in the airport.

When you arrive at Narita Airport, you are going to enter Japan from the International Arrival Lobby on the 1st floor.

There are the information counters, currency exchanges, bus and rail ticket sales counters, etc. at the arrival lobby.

You will find restrooms at the central area. The multipurpose restrooms were refurbished to meet wheelchair user’s needs.

Transport to Tokyo

You can go to Tokyo mainly by train or bus. Here is the official website for more information.

You must buy a bus ticket for your destination and get on a bus at the bus stop outside. You might want to be there at least 5 minutes prior to your departure time.

In case you use a train, there is an elevator down to the basement where Narita Airport Station is located. Take the elevator located at the Central Building.

You reach the ticket gates after going down the ramp.

International Departure Lobby

When you leave Japan, take the elevator up to the 4th floor and do your departure procedure at the International Departure Lobby. The buses to the airport arrive at the 4th floor.

In the lobby, there is a counter where people with challenges can get special assistance.

Restaurants and Shops

As you walk through the International Departure Lobby, you will enter the Airport Mall located at the Central Building on the 4th floor. You can enjoy meals and shopping there.

Multipurpose restrooms are respectively in both the men’s room and the ladies’ room. It is rare for Japanese restroom structures.

The multipurpose restrooms are spacious.

Observation Deck

The Observation Deck of Terminal 1 attracts many people. It is located on the 5th floor. At twilight you can enjoy watching airplanes against the setting sun.
