There is a tourist information office in front of the exit of the ticket gate at Tokyo Metro Marunouchi Line Shinjuku Station’s Ogikubo direction where you can find an elevator to the ground level ahead
Even when walking through the subway passage from the direction of Shinjuku 3-chome, this elevator will also take you to the west gate.
If you go up one level, you can go out to the first floor at the open space of the west entrance. You can change to the JR at its west gate and also the meeting point in front of Shinjuku west gate’s police box.
If you go up one level, you can get to the entrance of Odakyu department store.
