Elevator information for wheelchair users at JR Harajuku Station

JR Harajuku Station was renovated and the wheelchair accessibility improved.

There are two platforms of Yamanote Lines. One is the Yamanote Line (inner loop) platform for Shibuya, Shinagawa and Tokyo. The other is the Yamanote Line (outer loop) platform for Shinjuku, Ikebukuro and Ueno. You can find two elevators at each of the platforms. The elevators are large and user friendly.

Getting off the elevator, you walk on the wide passage leading to the ticket gate.

A broader ticket gate was constructed.

There are two exits at the ticket gate to the Omotesando street and to the Meiji Jingu Shrine respectively. You have to go down the stairs from the ticket gate to the ground level. An elevator is located at one side of each of the exits. Wheelchair users can take the elevator down to the ground level.

You can connect to the Meiji-jingumae Station of Tokyo Metro from the exit of JR.

Go further and you can soon find the elevator down to Meiji-jingumae Station of Tokyo Metro at the open space in front of the Jingu-bashi bridge.
